Karen L. Jensen, G.G., RMV, ASG, Senior Member of NAJA

Credentials Summary

I adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the ethical standards of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). Your appraisal will meet or exceed the requirements that you, your attorney, or your insurance company require

The Graduate Gemologist (GG) is earned from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). This degree is a necessary first step in becoming a jewelry professional, regardless of your discipline. I am a registered mentor for distance education students in my area along with being a member of the Alumni and Associates, since my graduation in 1998.

National Association Of Jewelry Appraisers Logo I am a Certified Senior Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), the only international professional association exclusively devoted to the valuation and appraisal of gems and jewelry. To its members, the NAJA provides appraisal standards, a Code of Ethics, a program of advancement, exceptional continuing education and a referral network. To the public, the NAJA provides education on gem and jewelry appraising.

Accredited Gemologist Association SealThe Accredited Gemologist Association is a nonprofit research, education and ethics organization benefiting professional and avocation gemologists as well as consumer interest. Membership programs include advanced gemological education seminars, workshops, and the Accredited Senior Gemologist (ASG) designation.

The Master Valuer Program (RMV) in jewelry appraisal studies was the only widely available course of its type when developed and introduced by Anna Miller. Up until its debut, appraisal education was restricted to offerings by private appraisal organizations. The courses are still taught worldwide.

American Gem Trade Association LogoI am an affiliate member of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA). AGTA Members agree to the disclosure of gemstone enhancements on all commercial documents and to abide by the Association's Code of Ethics and Principles of Fair Business Practice. Annual affirmation of the Code of Ethics, and enforcement by the AGTA, holds an AGTA Member to a stricter disclosure policy than required by the Federal Trade Commission.
