I am a Senior Member (N.J.A.) of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), the only international professional association exclusively devoted to the valuation and appraisal of gems and jewelry. To its members, the NAJA provides appraisal standards, a Code of Ethics, a program of advancement, exceptional continuing education and a referral network. To the public, the NAJA provides education on gem and jewelry appraising.
The Master Valuer Program (RMV) in jewelry appraisal studies was the only widely available course of its type when developed and introduced by Anna Miller. Up until its debut, appraisal education was restricted to offerings by private appraisal organizations. The courses are still taught worldwide.
